Simon Robson
Simon Robson Director/Creative Director BAFTA nominated Simon was working happily as a coal miner in t'north of England in the mid-70s, until Margaret Thatcher decided to close all the mines for fun. Simon then journeyed to the other 'big smoke' to seek his fortune. One afternoon in a Shoreditch pub talking to a trendy media type, Simon was mis-understood whilst talking of his days as a miner. He was immediately put to work as a designer. Happily swapping his shovel for a Wacom, Simon quickly started mining a rich seam of commercials and broadcast design in the opencast animation mines of Londinium. He has directed commercials for the likes of Nike and Seeds of Change as well as creating a 60 second promotional spot for Adidas featuring the world’s best footballers. Most recently he has directed commercials for Save The Children, The Observer and The Guardian. Now sporting an asymmetric hair-cut under his pit-helmet, Simon regales audiences with thrilling animated tales and was awarded 'best animated film' for his short 'What Barry Says' at the Brooklyn and portobello International short film festivals in 2004. In 2007 Simon directed animation for the Brit feature doc for 'Taking Liberties', which was nominated for a BAFTA. Most recently, Simon directed and produced 'Coalition of The Willing' a collaborative environmental animated film involving 20+ animation studios from all over the world.

Saman Keshavarz
"I had the F-word in my vocabulary since I was six," says director Saman Keshavarz. No potty mouths here: Keshavarz was just obsessed with films since childhood, to the point where his parents would let him watch R-rated movies instead of cartoons. That obsession seems to have worked out well for Keshavarz, now 25. The video he directed for Cinnamon Chasers, "Luv Deluxe," a first-person, disjointed narrative of a quickie relationship gone really, really wrong, was featured at the Saatchi & Saatchi New Director's Showcase at Cannes this year. The same video also took home the Best Music Video award at SxSW 2010. His TVC for Canon also recently won an Emmy for “Outstanding commercial”, a YDA Cannes Lion , an Addy, and Clio a for ‘Best Commercial’.
